During cramps the second toe may head in an upward or downward direction at the start of a leg or foot cramp or if the second toe crosses over the big or third toe due to illness. Sometimes it can be the third or big toe moving out of line and a cramp starts.
The most important thing to do during a cramp is note which direction your toes moves! This will dictate how you must wear the Stopacramp strap, direction of the toe movement is critical.
The attached left side illustration shows how to weave the Stopacramp strap for stopping Hamstring cramps on the foot of the affected leg. What you need to do is make sure the big, second and third stay level with each other and the foot. During a Hamstring cramp the second toe may rise about the third and big toe. Weave the Stopacramp strap as directed by the instruction card.
During a calf and foot cramp weave the Stopacramp strap so that the TOP of the foot appears as it does on the right side of the illustration. During a calf and foot cramp the second toe may head in a downward direction. When you stop the second toe from moving in a downward direction with the patented Stopacramp cramp relief system strap you will stop or prevent a calf and foot cramp. The illustrations show the tops of the feet and end views of the toes with the Stopacramp strap worn.
The Stopacramp straps are machine washable and can be worn 24/7 if you choose, how long and how often one uses the strap depends entirely on their own needs. In the case of damaged joints that permanently misalign the second toe, the strap should be worn at all times even during sleep. Socks or stockings can be worn when using the strap to prevent it from coming off if you are an active sleeper they don’t want to stay in place during the night. The straps are sown in panels where the loop material can be cut shorter depending on your needs.
To apply the Strap
If possible stand with your feet flat on the floor or sit on the floor pushing your feet on the wall. FASTEN THE STOPACRAMP STRAP SNUGGLY as you see in the illustrations, BUT NOT TOO TIGHT otherwise the Stopacramp strap will not be comfortable or effective. You must make sure when applying the strap that the toes are in a line close to each other as they should be when standing on a flat surface. The Stopacramp strap MUST BE SNUG BUT NOT TOO TIGHT on the toes for it to function properly.
Should you get a cramp due to an awkward positioning of your leg or foot, place your foot on a flat surface or floor and push your toes flat on the floor. Your cramp will retreat as long as the Stopacramp strap is properly worn for your own condition.
